Right so you’ve decided writing content is very time consuming, and you want to rewrite some articles. The biggest thing to remember is that if you are going to rewrite articles, you need to do it properly. ‘Properly’ means a good amount of manual rewriting, rather than relying on some kind of one click output (a sure way to get penalized). What follows is the minimum steps you should take to rewrite an article. Afterwards, we’ll go into the slightly more advanced stuff you should do if you really want to do it right.
Step 1 – First up, the article title
The title need more rewriting than the rest of the article. This is because it is a large point of differentiation when both humans and search algorithms compare articles. Write at least 10 variations of it, and add nested spin inside these variations. That means phrase and word level changing inside each title variation.
Step 2 – Sentence Level Rewriting
Sentence level rewriting is one of the best ways to add lots of uniqueness to your article for the least effort. It may sound like a lot of work to rewrite every sentence in an article, but your brain has been conditioned to say things in different ways since you started school. {It won’t take too long before you are in the creative frame of mind and think of a new sentence in a couple of seconds | Before you know it, it will only be taking you a moment or two to generate completely new versions of each sentence in the article}.
Step 3 – Word and Phrase Level Rewriting
The word and phrase level replacements are just as important. Duplicate checking software often check blocks of words. If they see the same block repeated on multiple websites, you’re flagged as duplicate. This means we need to mix up small chunks within each sentence. Including both the original sentence and the new ones you have written, rewrite several words and phrases. Ideally, build two or three levels of spin if you can. For example if you had {Right On!|That’s cool.}, you could also further expand it to {Right On!|That’s {awesome|cool}.}
There are two ways you can do this. You can manually go through the whole process and add large amounts of rewriting using whatever method you like.Chimp Rewriter’s “Rapid Rewrite” makes this a lot easier, as you can see the whole sentence and add a lot of nested rewriting really quickly. The other method is to use an auto rewriting algorithm using ‘Global Synonyms’, and then further add to the results. This may include removing some replacements you don’t like (as simple as clicking in the spin and de-selecting the option in the ‘Synonym Selector’), and adding more replacements using any of the built in tools.
The recommend settings for Global Synonyms are:
• Quality – Better
• Part Of Speech Match – Full
• Grammar Check – Enabled
Everything else can stay as default.
Step 4 – Links
The links you add in the body of the article should vary. This applies to both the anchor text and the link itself. For example you could link to a different page on your website, or a different web property of yours. It is also a good idea to occasionally put links in to relevant sites that you do not own. For example, a news article or other quality post that is related to the topic.
Step 5 – Images and Video
Adding images and video to your article makes it both better to look at, and makes it seem more human. The awesome thing is that you can rewrite images and videos as well. In other words, you can show a different option in each article. Using ‘optional’ rewriting (where one part of the spin is blank {|something}), for an image and a video in the same article, you get some cool results. Put both of these in and sometimes you will have neither, sometimes both, sometimes one or the other.
